If one or more of the following are present, consider the patient’s condition to be complex:
- Significant dysfunction(e.g. WSAS >20)
- Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) 
- Possible bipolar disorder
- Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) 
- Substance abuse
- AUDIT-C 
- Anxiety disorder
- Severe accompanying anxiety (for example, e.g. GAD-7 > 15)
- GAD-7 
- Psychosis

- Personality disorder
- Elderly
- Diagnostic uncertainty
